How it all began

Jess, Chris and Nantha founded Uprise together in 2021, with a shared vision of solving financial decision making. Jess was inspired by her mom, who built her career safeguarding Americans’ money at the FDIC. Chris was raised by a single mother and worked hard to make sure the family could “make it.” Nantha immigrated from rural India where financial struggles were common.

Uprise initially started as a consumer platform, rated the #1 personal finance app of the year on Product Hunt. And as the team built, they realized two things:

  1. Partnerships are game-changing. They enable customers to make financial moves with one-click.
  2. SMB owners are dealing with a financial and tax nightmare, juggling business and personal.

The product has evolved and the team has grown, but the vision remains and we’re only getting started!
